Belly Dance - Beginner Block One
Mondays 7:45 pm, 8-week series
April 2 through May 28
*No class on May 7
This one-hour class will cover a progressive curriculum of basic belly dance movements and dancing with veil. Each class includes warm-up, strengthening exercieses, body articulation, basic steps, veil dance routine and cool-down.
8 week session. 4-wk minimum payment.
$15/class for non-members, $12.50/class for members of Body Business.
Belly dance is a fun form of exercise for women of any age or size. This non-impact aerobic activity uses the entire body and promotes personal expression and individuality. Open your mind to explore a culture through dance; experience the music, the movement, and the enchantment of the Middle East with Bahaia!
ATTIRE:
- Wear comfortable clothing, such as fitted exercise wear. It is not required that you show your belly, but it is helpful for you to be able to see your body line.
- Bare feet are fine. Dance slippers or dance sneakers may be worn. Please no ballroom shoes or athletic shoes.
- Hip scarves, veils and finger cymbals can be purchased or borrowed in class.
ABSENCE/CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please limit asbsence to a maximum of once per session. 24-hour notification required for credit on missed class. Classes are non-refundable, non-transferrable.
SPECIAL NOTE ON LOCATION:
Our class meets in "The Studio" at Body Business. The entrance is separate from the main gym. "The Studio" is located in the far Northeast corner of the Village Shopping center, behind Fudruckers and Arthur Murray.
